WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING
Our global Talent Acquisition (TA) team proactively attracts the most talented candidates, recruiting over 30,000 hires a year, from Early Careers through to Senior Executives.
This role is responsible for building and overseeing a coherent Talent Acquisition strategy for Group Technology within the BX legal entity.
This global role involves collaborating with and leading through others in partnership with multiple TA teams (such as Executive Hiring and Programmatic Hiring) and HR colleagues across multiple regions to effectively ensure delivery of a great candidate, hiring manager and stakeholder experience.
This is a highly visible role and you will need to be able to share and display an understanding of commercial value and an in-depth knowledge of the business areas you are partnering with, as well as acting as an ambassador for Barclays internally and externally.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
Through development of close working relationships with senior Technology leaders and HR colleagues, you will build an in-depth understanding of current and future talent requirements of the business
You will collaborate with multiple business stakeholders to understand operational aspects of the business & legal entity from workforce planning through to business specific operational practices, enabling you to shape a plan & partner with the relevant TA teams to design, develop and oversee appropriate delivery of a TA strategy
You will also utilise labour market trends (such as workforce trends and candidate expectations) and internal data & insights to drive the sourcing & hiring strategy; adjusting hiring initiatives to ensure the delivery model achieves business outcomes and remains commercially agile
Influencing, shaping and promoting “best practice”, championing diversity & inclusion and developing our Talent strategy and tactics to establish Barclays as an employer of choice is also a fundamental part of this role

Familiarity with diversity, equity & inclusion best practices in hiring; ability to champion and develop strategy and tactics to establish Barclays as an employer of choice
Strong and effective leadership and professional expertise in all areas of the HR function
