HEAD OF RISK GOVERNANCE AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT – VICE PRESIDENT
As a Barclays Head of Risk Governance and Business Management – VP, you will be responsible in driving the Governance and business management strategy for all subsidiaries and the broader Americas region. You’ll play a role in ensuring successful execution of the Americas Risk Forum and US Risk Committee and appropriate escalation and alignment with the Group Risk governance and regional entity level governance. You’ll be a trusted partner and effectively influence behaviours and risk culture, highlighting issues and articulating outcomes.
Salary/ Rate Minimum: $150,000
Salary/ Rate Maximum: $195,000

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Driving the governance strategy for the region competently and ensuring governance is applied coherently within the broader Risk function and Americas region
Managing the operations of the US Risk Committee, maintaining a rich pipeline of discussion topics and ensuring the team is effectively carrying out its oversight tasks
Working closely with Corporate Secretary on the Board agenda and preparation and submission of comprehensive and timely Risk papers
Ensuring risks are reported and escalated in a clear, accurate and timely manner to senior management and the Board
Providing oversight of key records for the Americas CRO office, including Role Profiles, Corporate governance charts, organizational charts, and approval authorities
Leading and managing colleague development and retention and Diversity, Equity and inclusion initiatives
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Five plus years of experience of managing stakeholders at senior level, including presenting to senior leaders, managing Directors, and providing assistance on robust challenge
Experience with managing and running senior governance meetings
Working experience with application of Enterprise Risk Management Framework and the various principal risks
SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance/Economics, or related discipline
Prior experience in Risk, business management and/or governance in a large bank or financial organization
Experience in project management
