INTERNAL AUDITOR

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

•     Support audits of functional areas related to the Treasury Liquidity, Liquidity Risk, and Liquidity Risk Reporting areas. 

•     Identify material risks in business processes, complete design effectiveness assessments and operating effectiveness testing of the controls required to manage those risks. 

•     Perform full population testing and transaction testing during audits using data analytics techniques such as Python and R coding. 

•     Produce regular management information reports for senior management in Barclays Internal Audit (“BIA”) and other senior management including Board Audit Committee using specialized data analytics techniques. 

•     Write high quality audit observations and develop remediation plans with management. 

•     Perform continuous monitoring and validation of audit issues and regulatory MRA and MRIA.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or another quantitative field and two (2) years of experience in the position offered as an Analyst working in Investment Banking or Auditing focusing on financial or liquidity risk processes. Must have demonstrated experience with the following:

•     Internal audit covering capital or liquidity risk, or in a business role of Treasury liquidity function in the investment banking industry.

•     Assessing control environment and performing control testing of the 1st and 2nd Line of defenses areas and review the financial products - derivatives instruments.

•     Audit planning, scoping, execution, sample testing and audit reporting.

•     Performing issue validation on regulatory MRAs/MRIAs and audit issues.

•     Performing continuous monitoring, assess inherent risk and control environment ratings, audit need assessment and document the CM workpapers.

•     Preparing material for regulatory exams and regulators’ enquiries.

WHERE WILL YOU BE  WORKING?

You will be working at our New York, New York location at 745  Seventh Avenue.  This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the façade of the building. The building is easily accessible to Restaurants, Shops and Public Transportation.
