LEVERAGED LOAN TRADING DESK ANALYST

As a Barclays Leveraged Loan Trading Desk Analyst , you will support the senior risk takers on the desk through fundamental credit analysis. You’ll have the chance to build financial models, present long/short ideas, engage the buy-side community and work on research and/or infrastructure improvement projects. This is an exciting opportunity to  generate, develop and express actionable trade ideas.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Performing fundamental credit analysis on specific credits and developing actionable investment ideas for both the trading desk and the loan account base

• Partnering with Sales to offer liquidity, idea generation and best execution to a variety of loan market participants including Banks, Hedge Funds, CLOs, Mutual Funds and BDCs

• Monitoring financials and news flow for particular credits while performing due diligence on potential credits (primary and secondary)

• Using your understanding of fundamental credit to work with traders to develop trade ideas 

• Participating in earnings/new issue credit calls, building financial models, and maintaining trading blotters

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Proven experience in fundamental credit analysis

• Prior experience in the credit market with a focus on HY/leveraged loans

• Exceptional Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg skills 

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
