MESSAGING ENGINEER

As Barclays’ M365 Messaging Engineer, you will be providing live systems support to the global Barclays Messaging environment. The role holder must have the ability to own and resolve incidents end-to-end and work closely with other technical support teams to drive email related issues to resolution. You will use the problem management system to drive process optimization or creations where needed to provide Barclays with highest availability of services we offer.

WHAT WILL YOU  BE DOING?

•    You will be responsible for Operational Systems Management & Preventative Maintenance – to include proactive monitoring, system checks, SOD Reports, house-keeping and scheduled maintenance activities

•    You will provide 24 x 7 (rota) 3rd Line Specialist support for all core and non-core messaging technologies. Drive solutions to repeat incidents

•    Coordinating and implementing resilience compliancy tests, capacity management

•    You will be responsible for handling the request for fulfilment of the new asks

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with Microsoft Exchange servers

•    Office 365, Compliance Center, and Microsoft Exchange 2019 in a Hybrid / Federated large enterprise configuration 

•    Windows Server and Hardware (i386 hardware) experience

•    Scripting – PowerShell

SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:

•    >100,000 seats across multiple geographic environments

•    ITIL trained

•    Full M365 suite experience

•    C#, Python, Ruby
