OPERATIONAL RIGOUR – MANAGER
As a Barclays Operational Rigour – Manager, you’ll be a part of the global risk and governance function, accountable for evolving and maintaining a robust control environment, sharing best practice, and improving how we manage risk & oversight in terms of risk and controls in relation to the front office teams and the products we support. Also, you’ll support governance and operational rigour across all Corporate Banking covering: International Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, the Global Lending Group, and Regulatory Policy and Strategy.
Salary/ Rate Minimum: $145,000
Salary/ Rate Maximum: $215,000

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Leading day to day oversight – Coverage, Product, Business Management
Reviewing and preparing support materials for monthly governance control forums
Engaging in key operational rigour (risk and control) activities, such as risk events, issues management, dispensations, waivers and breaches, locally tailored solutions oversight
Managing and leading regulatory exam oversight and assistance
Overseeing governance & control related projects and initiatives
Maintaining and enhancing control inventory (support design, implementation, and retirement of controls)
Determining, recognizing, and answering control gaps and weaknesses, working with the business to address
Directing and leading standardisation, globalisation, and simplification
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Undergraduate degree or above
Excellent written, oral communication and reasoning skills
Highly proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to multitask and deliver projects on time
SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:
Prior experience in a customer-facing/problem solving role, preferably with large multinational clients
Working knowledge and prior experience with banking products, financial modelling, credit, and financial analysis
Self-starter and team player
