    As a Barclays Portfolio Manager Sector Analyst, you will join the Portfolio Management Team within the Corporate and Investment Bank Lending business. This team manages the bank’s corporate loan exposures across all asset classes, and this critical team acts as a gatekeeper and voting member within the firm’s capital commitment process. You will have the opportunity to participate in underwriting diligence processes, and master fundamental credit analysis skills.

    Salary / Rate Minimum: 125,000
    Salary / Rate Maximum: 175,000

    What will you be doing?

    • Being responsible for performing bottoms up fundamental credit analysis
    • Assisting and supporting in the primary diligence and in structuring/negotiating terms for new capital commitments
    • Assessing projected fee opportunity from new and existing client relationships
    • Evaluating and voting on new capital commitments, amendment requests, and restructuring proposals
    • Monitoring credits on an ongoing basis for changes in borrowings, credit quality, and fees received
    • Taking responsibility for making loan sale recommendations to the trading desk following our analysis of underlying credit performance.

    What we’re looking for:

    • Bachelor’s Degree and over two years corporate credit analysis or similar experience
    • Skilled in managing multiple work streams
    • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks on strict deadlines
    • Prior experience interfacing with internal/external stakeholders

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to function with a high degree of autonomy
    • Established and competent decision-making skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

    Where will you be working?

    You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
