    Job Description

    Analytics & Decision Sciences (ADS) at Santander is focused on leveraging all of our data assets to optimize profitability, grow customer relationships, improve experience and enhance data standards.

    The Quantitative Analyst supports the development of analytic models and frameworks to understand customer behaviors across the bank’s channels and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience. The Quantitative Analyst plays a supporting role, leading the analytics to address specific issues within a larger initiative. The Quantitative Analyst looks for new ways to leverage existing sources of data and identifies potential new sources of information.

    Duties:

    • Support the development of new analytics projects to enhance the bank's understanding of customer channel preferences and customer experience.
    • Support strategic and ad hoc analysis to quantify what? how? and why? customer behavior shifts are occurring.
    • Partner with the business to identify opportunities to apply analytics to improve multichannel targeting efforts.
    • Utilize innovative analytic methods to develop unique customer insights that optimize business investment and resource decisions.

    Applicant Requirements

    • Must have an expected graduation date between December 2018 – June 2019.
    • Must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.30 or above.
    • Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for theduration of the program.
    • Note: U.S. Immigrationsponsorship is not available for this position.

    Qualifications

    • Masters student majoring in Data Science andAnalytics, Economics, Statistics or related field.
    • Knowledge of R, Python, Excel and Power Point.
    • Knowledge of digital analytics(tags/click-stream data, Adobe analytics, Google analytics).
    • Ability to maintain attention to detail andaccuracy under pressure situations.
    • Team oriented and able to work independently.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
