Rates Trade Floor Support

As a Barclays Rates Trade Floor Support, you will be responsible to provide first and second line technical and application support services for Credit trading applications. You will interact with the Credit and Muni businesses to log, prioritize, resolve, escalate (where required) and own all support issues through to completion. You will perform deep analysis of support requests to identify the most efficient solutions to improve Stability and Reliability. You will be engaged with end users and IT development teams on system enhancement.

Salary / Rate Minimum: $130,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $168,000

What will you be doing?

• Monitoring application incident alerts ensuring max system uptime
• Contributing to service level improvements by documenting issues and analysing and suggesting ways to improve service quality
• Working closely with other IT technology team to manage and resolve production issues and driving problem resolution forward to completion
• Providing functional systems support for business activities ranging from trade capture to trade life cycling, PNL and risk position generation
• Maintaining up to date knowledge base of the application’s technical structure and business logic in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Working on project will form part of the job function with tasks range from liaising with developers on minor change and tactical solutions to providing advisory services
• Providing technical support including pro-active monitoring of all hardware platforms to maintain stability and capacity ensuring accurate inventory of hardware and services
• Providing Business Continuity Planning - maintenance of Disaster Recovery plans and assist with DR testing and reviews

What we’re looking for:

• Over three years of relevant experience and college degree
• Knowledge of the investment banking business, e-trading constrains and trade life cycle
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral
• Ability to work under pressure and continue to deliver projects and process in time

• Able to readily adapt to changing requirements and priorities
• Can multi-task effectively when required, but also able to identify scheduling conflicts and communicate these confidently
• Willing to learn and absorb business processes and IT technologies actively
