    Co-Op Program Experience

    Santander Bank’s Co-Op Program provides participants with a meaningful, relevant work experience as part of their academic studies. In addition to daily responsibilities, participants may be provided special projects and assignments and will have the opportunity to participate in a series of structured activities designed to enhance their learning experience including:

    • Co-Op New Hire Orientation
    • Senior Leadership Speaker Series
    • Professional Development Seminars
    • Community Involvement & Volunteering
    • Social & Networking Events

    Santander Bank is committed to identifying and developing strong early career talent for our future workforce. As such, dependent upon individual performance and the Bank’s hiring needs, participants may be considered for full-time opportunities upon completion of the Co-Op Program.

    Program Dates

    • The Spring Co-Op Program is a 24-week, full-time program which runs from January 8 – June 22, 2018.

    Job Description

    The team is undergoing significant change over the next year – the role will play a part in helping to streamline processes, enhance quality control, leverage newer technology, create a stronger feedback loop and launch a new delivery method. A co-op with a business/technology background will benefit from this experience by participating in many of the previously mentioned initiatives. The team could also benefit from a younger voice that has experienced technology in a different way and brings a unique perspective to receiving and consuming data/information.

    Duties:

    • Creates reporting and analysis that are assessed to gauge the quality level of the systems in scope.
    • Helps define quality criteria including business rules and definitions.
    • Helps Integrate the remediated data into the environment and makes available to data consumers.
    • Monitors ongoing measurement of rules & metrics to track progress and maintain levels of quality.
    • Assists with remediating gaps identified during assessment.

    Applicant Requirements

    • Must have an expected graduation date between December 2018 – June 2019.
    • Must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above.
    • Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for the duration of the program.
    • Note: U.S. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

    Qualifications

    • Major in Business, Technology or related field.
    • Previous experience working in a professional environment.
    • Experience in building reporting/metrics.
    • Inquisitive thinking and problem-solving curiosity, ability to challenge others professionally.
    • Basic understanding of data quality tools and practices
    • Ability to grasp complex data quality concepts and data remediation/data cleansing practices quickly.
    • Strong Excel skills.
    • Database experience.
    • Ability to take direction, work with limited supervision and execute against deliverables.
