  • Responsibilities
    • Provides consistent world class customer service to internal and external customers which exceeds their expectations.
    • Resolves customer issues with minimal guidance.
    • Promotes, refers and sells bank products and services. Performs within the balancing guidelines, compliance and security procedures.
    • Establishes and maintains the Bank Way as the singular priority in all activities.
    • Performs other duties and tasks as requested.
    • Follows the Customer First Service Excellence in the interaction with the customers
    • Motivates, coaches, mentors and develops teller staff and ensures smooth operation of the teller line
    • Accurately completes settlements without supervision and may be responsible for Operational Management of the branch during Branch Operations Manager absence.
    • Assures that work is balanced and consistent according to Santander Policy and Procedures and complies with all audit, regulatory and Security Procedures.
    • Efficiently processes all customer banking transactions through a demonstrated knowledge and dexterity in using Teller equipment and systems.
    • Processes and settles ATM work being its custodian.
    • Recognizes sales opportunities and cross-sells Santander products by making quality referrals to others who are more knowledgeable to close a sale and meets Teller referral goals.

  • Qualifications
    • At least 12 months internal cash handling experience.
    • Retail or customer service experience preferred.
    • Exceptional computer knowledge and Windows skills required.
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • At least 1 years specialized knowledge
    • Capable of running the teller's area in the absence of the BOM.
    • Exercises good judgment with customers balancing the need for bank policies and good customer service.
    • Must understand, support and comply with all regulatory policies and procedures, CRA initiatives/goals and Santander Bank policies.
    • Understands and complies with all audit and security procedures.
    • Understands and follows Sovereign's policies regarding currency transaction reporting.
