RISK AND CONTROLS ANALYST - TECHNOLOGY

Whippany, NJ   As a Barclays Technology Controls Analyst, you will support the Head of Technology Controls & Governance within the US Consumer Bank Cards Platform by focusing on the creation, management and reporting of all ORAC (Operational Risk and Control) risks. As this space is experiencing strong growth, you will have the opportunity to ensure we are in compliance with corporate control reporting of all ORAC Issues, including Regulatory and Audit issue commitments.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Serving as Subject Matter Expert for the creation and management of all ORAC (Operational Risk & Control) risks

• Developing and managing strong relationships and partnerships with Technology personnel to ensure continued flow of Issue communications  

• Facilitating the creation of ORAC Issues  

• Facilitating the creation of Dispensation, Waivers, and Breaches (DWBs)

• Proactively manage the monthly updating of all ORAC actions/issues  

• Assisting in the creation and submission of all Issue Closure packs

• Assisting in the creation and submission of Audit Milestone Closure Packs

• Communicating effectively, liaising with multiple stakeholders to ensure clear reporting on Issues of interest to management

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Experience of working within a regulatory, risk, control or governance function 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Ability to multi-task and eliminate obstacles

SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:

• High level of personal organization and ability to think ahead constantly, to juggle multiple priorities and to execute at speed with excellent attention to detail

• Systematic, disciplined and analytical approach with ability to work under pressure and 'hit the ground running’

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLookup) skills would be advantageous
