SENIOR QPS QA ENGINEER

As a Barclays Senior QPS QA Engineer, this role is for QA test automation. An ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of JAVA and standard tools in this space and will be able to automate test case scenarios as required. You will work closely with manual QA testers and development team. You will also be performing code reviews to ensure implemented functionality matches expectations and is in line with coding standards defined globally.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

•    Creating test cases for software under test 

•    Executing testing, certifications for Equity connectivity applications

•    Running automated and manual regression test cases

•    Performing maintenance on automated test pack

•    Maintaining non prod test environment

•    Performing code reviews to ensure implemented functionality matches expectations and is in line with coding standards defined globally

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

•    Bachelor’s in Computer Science (or equivalent experience/degree)

•    Software testing experience (five years)

•    Good understanding of quality assurance and software development life cycle

•    Experience writing test cases/test plan

SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:

•    Knowledge of FIX Protocol and use of other similar tools 

•    Experience with trading applications and variance usage of similar tools and functions 

•    Experience with scripting with Bash, Perl, Python

•    Experience with TestNG along with Basic Unix/Linux skills
