SENIOR RISK MANAGER-FINANCIAL CRIME

As a Barclays, Senior Risk Manager-Financial Crime your role is to provide control business partnering support to process and control owners, issue remediation owners and AEs in respect of Financial Crime risks and controls for BBPLC. Given the proximity of Fraud and Financial Crime Risks, the role of the team is expanding to include control business partnering services for BBPLC Financial Crime Risk, leveraging and expanding the services the team currently provides for Fraud Risk globally.

WHAT WILL YOU  BE DOING?

• Monitoring of control issues related to BBPLC Financial Crime, including support to issue remediation owners to help them achieve closure/mitigation actions in a timely and sustained manner

• Measurement of Control Effectiveness, and drive solid governance of BUs rated “Needs Improvement” to achieve Return-to-Satisfactory Action Plan objectives

• Providing guidance to Business Units and Functions for setting Risk Tolerances

• Identifying opportunities to enhance minimum control requirements

• Establishing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships at Senior level (VP-MD

• Leading process efficiency reviews, e.g. application of lean methodology

WHAT WE’RE  LOOKING FOR:

• Risk management experience, liaising with colleagues at a senior level

• Excellent analytical and numeracy skills

• Proven experience with assessment and measurement of effectiveness of controls

• Excellent presentation skills and confident making recommendations to senior audiences

SKILLS THAT WILL  HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:

• Experience of one or more economic crime risks (fraud, financial crime or cyber security)

• Broad knowledge of identify economic crime risks and control weaknesses within key processes
