As a Barclays Senior UI Developer, you will design, build and maintain the Advanced Analytics Platform that combines several tools and technologies which streamlines the model development lifecycle. You will be responsible for designing the Analytics User Portal, streamlining software development, deployment and delivery process enabling self-service platforms for modelling effort. What will you be doing?

• Working in a fast-paced environment with Quants, technology and architects designing new platform capabilities, or enhancing existing ones, ensuring deliverables
• Developing and testing resilient, scalable, and reusable services and APIs utilizing latest frameworks and libraries, while adhering to development standards
• Spearheading service improvement across Analytics platform, implementing automated build, test and deployment pipelines utilizing latest DevOps tools
• Taking responsibility for inspiring confidence by making and honouring commitments, demonstrates initiative and competence
• Ensuring deliverables comply to Barclays standards and policies (for Security, Data privacy, Accessibility)
• Developing and prototyping of highly available distributed systems, web application development, framework extensions
• Being responsible for suggesting new ways forward and coming up with new feature ideas

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
• Experience architecting, designing, and developing applications coupled with a hands-on experience of debugging and optimizing code
• Core programming languages: Java / Scala or Python, experience with front end frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular.js
• Solid skills with RDBMS experience in Oracle, SQL, MongoDB

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Several years of experience with Cloud native platforms (AWS, Azure, etc)
• Experience with containerization
• Experience working with at least one messaging platform (MQ/ TIBCO/ Kafka/ Solace)
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, Containers and Agile methodology for software development
