SOLUTION ARCHITECT - WINDOWS, VIRTUAL DESKTOP, SCCM
As a Barclays Solution Architect you will b designing and implementing the latest technologies. In this role you will design and oversee delivery of some of all our products in the Windows & Virtual desktop space. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Acting as a Technology Architectural Lead for large global projects and lifecycle management supporting the bank's Windows & Virtual Desktop infrastructure
Designing effective technology solutions and Stage 0 costs that can be integrated into the estate and deployed globally across the group
Adding clarity to business requirements, challenges business requirements and demands to ensure high quality candidate solutions are created
Thinking outside of the box to support the business in delivering its strategic objectives rather than just responding to a pre-defined request
Ensuring that solutions are documented effectively, and that the product architecture vision is kept up to date
Owning high-level design documentation, defining business outcomes and providing support and governance to engineers producing low-level designs
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
- Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, MECM, Orchestrator, Autopilot, Ivanti AppSense, FSLogix,, UEV, and Citrix LTSR/CR
Strong scripting skills with a proven PowerShell experience and knowledge of enterprise architectural design patterns and concepts
Solid technical author, able to produce excellent documentation and diagrams using tools such as Confluence and MS Visio
Awareness of Dev Ops practices and automated delivery pipelines
SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:
- Python, C/C++, .NET, C#/Java, MSSQL/MySQL
Experience with API design including RESTful (OAS2/3, RAML), SOAP, MS Graph API, RPC etc is desirable but not essential
Experience with Microsoft Orchestrator or any other automation technologies and managing a dedicated SCCM site and engineers
Hands on experience in creating enterprise builds in MECM/MDT and Autopilot any background with peer to peer bandwidth management technology a plus
