    As a Barclays Sourcing Manager Capital Projects, you will be the category lead for delivering all procurement activities for the renovation and refurbishment of Barclays historical Americas headquarters based in New York. Get this exciting opportunity to support the delivery of the end-to-end global procurement strategy. In this role, you will also interact with senior stakeholders in Procurement, Capital Projects as well as our supplier partners.

    Salary / Rate Minimum: $150,000
    Salary / Rate Maximum: $190,000

    What will you be doing?

    • Building strategic relationships with a network of senior Barclays and external supplier stakeholders in order to understand business requirements
    • Identifying opportunities to create value and to position Procurement’s value proposition and align sourcing strategies accordingly
    • Creating compelling business cases for change and obtain Procurement and stakeholder approval to execute from Barclays budget/business owners
    • Delivering benefits identified in strategies through effective strategy execution, aligned to risk management, compliance, quality, service, cost and innovation
    • Engaging senior stakeholders and other relevant functions in the 745 sourcing strategy delivery and execution
    • Building strategic relationships with key capital projects and engineering suppliers at a senior level and managing processes to ensure value is driven from these relationships
    • Building the organisational capabilities necessary to implement Barclays strategy, now and in the future
    • Ensuring appropriate communication strategy is in place and in use within the relevant Procurement and business customer networks

    What we’re looking for

    • Significant indirect category management experience, ideally demonstrating ownership of multiple categories of spend greater than £100m per sub-category
    • Solid understanding of procurement market drivers impacting the category; ability to share current trends and mitigation plans
    • Highly developed business acumen with demonstrated success in delivering a multi-year strategy ensuring competitive commercial advantage
    • Demonstrated ability to forge close business relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all management levels

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Deep expertise in Capital Projects across a number of sub-categories including Engineering, Project management, cost management and construction
    • Experience of working withing the Financial Services sector
    • Past experience on leading the delivery of a global HQ refurb/renovation from a procurement perspective in New York
    • Academic degree or equivalent course or experience in Business or related field

    Where will you be working?

    You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
