    STRATEGIC CONSULTING

    This role is regulated by FINRA

    As a Barclays Strategic Consultant, you will support the Prime Services business.  You will develop relevant, creative, and original content focused on the Hedge Fund industry. You will have the opportunity to design and execute, with a reasonable degree of autonomy, a variety of end-deliverables derived from a combination of data analysis, as well as qualitative interviews and conversations with experts and industry stakeholders.

    WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

    • Contributing to institutional quality thought pieces on trends in the hedge fund industry

    • Providing bespoke consulting for hedge fund managers and investors

    • Speaking with hedge fund managers and investors to gather and share insights on industry related topics 

    • Supporting internal Barclays colleagues and senior Prime management on hedge fund related topics

    • Liaising with both internal colleagues from diverse functions or groups and, external clients in analysis of major business issues and problems

    • Conducting meetings and making formal presentations

    • Interacting with Prime Services salespeople to share information on clients and trends and to introduce internal Barclays’ salespeople to external hedge funds and investors

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

    • Strong academic background

    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Proficiency with the MS Office suite of programs

    SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:

    • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail

    • Demonstrated ability to work in a time sensitive environment 

    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

    WHERE WILL YOU BE WORKING?

    You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
