JOB DESCRIPTION

The Strategy Analyst MBA Intern is a key pipeline role for Santander to attract, develop, and retain future finance leaders. Strong candidates that successfully complete their internship will be considered to join the finance leadership Rotational Program (“FLRP”) Analyst upon business school graduation. This internship will be in strategy. During the summer, the intern will be an active member of Strategy involved in both ad-hoc projects as well as monthly deliverables. This role will have a high level of visibility and exposure to both Finance and BusinessExecutive Management.

Duties:

• Foster a deep understanding of the existing competitive environment, analyze peer benchmark performance and develop implications for Santander
• Support the development of the 10 year vision, the 3 year strategic plan and annual budget
• Provide thought leadership in developing practical solutions to complex analytical problems through both quantitative and qualitative information-gathering and analysis
• Identify insights, evaluate opportunities and inform decisions
• Create and present compelling, persuasive presentation materials to communicate key learnings and recommendations to senior level executives clearly and concisely
• Develop recommendations and a business case to support them
• Form strong working relationships and partnerships with business unit and finance leaders
• Design and execute tactical implementation plan in conjunction with key partners

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

• Must have an expected graduation date between December 2018 – June 2019.
• Must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above.
• Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for the duration of the program.
• U.S. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position

QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated leadership within the university community
• Superior problem solving and analytical skills(both quantitative and qualitative)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated individual and able to achieve high impact in an unstructured environment
• Intellectually curious personality
• Demonstrated passion for making a difference
• Work experience in Corporate Finance/FP&A, Treasury, Consulting, or Investment Banking is helpful
• Experience working in a Banking or financial services company is preferred
