SUPERVISORY ANALYST
This role is regulated by FINRA
As a Barclays Supervisory Analyst, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the SA sign-off and editorial input on equity research produced globally. You will amend research to comply with US regulatory requirements. The Research Production team and within it the Supervisory Analyst team, ensure that all research reports that are released by the department are done so in a professional and compliant manner, both in delivery, and in terms of content.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Amending research to comply with US regulatory requirements (the key function of the Supervisory Analyst role)
Making the presentation of the argument more commercial as well as ensuring it reads well in English
Screening companies mentioned in each report and routing research through to the compliance control room, where it is necessary
Distributing research through the easy-to-use channels created for SA approval
Liaising with analysts over issues unearthed in research (from SA points around M&A discussion, to number inconsistencies, and the logic and clarity of their arguments)
Liaising with other members of the SA and research production team to ensure that research sent out is of the highest quality in terms of compliance, content and format
Approving models, PowerPoint presentations, as well as blast voicemails where appropriate and feasible
Approving recordings/ webcasts/ podcasts for distribution to clients
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Series 16 certification a pre-requisite. Series 4 and 24 is a plus
2+ years of experience in editorial skills. Ability to rewrite content to maximize commercial impact
2+ years of experience in a multi-national investment bank producing equity and fixed income research
Fluency in HTML publishing platforms, Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:
Experience in production and DTP
Highly organized approach to work, awareness of confidentiality issues
Highly proactive, motivated, hard-working, committed, flexible, and can-do approach; ability to think laterally and identify potential issues within research material
Ability to build good relationships with internal peers and research analysts alike
