Equity Syndicate Analyst

As a Barclays Equity Syndicate Analyst, you will with the syndicate trading desk, Investment bankers, other infrastructure areas and external stakeholders in order to make new securities eligible to trade in the market and perform the various tasks associated with the syndicate deal closing process.

What will you be doing?

• Facilitate the end to end process from origination to new deal closing of Equity, Corporate, Structured Notes, CLO and ABS securities.

• Interface with banking and syndicate trading to satisfy the checklist required to complete New Issue tasks DTC/Euroclear and Regulatory eligibility, funding and closing the deal

• Affirm economic details of trades on T-0

• Monitor real time transaction flow, trade updates, exception queues to ensure timely and accurate trade representation in front office systems trade flow to back office systems

• Review reconciliations and address exceptions

• Coordinate with various settlements groups to resolve any trade settlement, cash and stock breaks, security set up or trade matching issues

• Answer internal and external client trade enquiries

• Produce MI reports of transaction volumes and key control metrics

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field

• Experience working in a financial services firm

• Familiarity with excel is a must, as well as the ability to quickly learn new applications

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Syndicate New Issue experience

• Knowledge of Fixed Income and Equities Securities

• Thorough understanding the life cycle of a trade including Trade Capture, matching and settlement

• Excellent problem solving, technical, written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
