TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER

As a Barclays Technical Project Manager you will oversee the development and delivery of Banking strategic projects. In your new role role, you will be working with business stakeholders, testers, and other technology teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of the strategic projects roadmap. As our Project Manager, you will be a seasoned leader with a proven track record of delivering complex software projects in a dynamic and agile environment.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Managing complex technology delivery programs driven by both regulatory change and commercial priorities 

• Establishing shared and consistent governance across projects within the program, aligned to the overall Barclays’ Governance and Control standards

• Intervening directly in projects at a detailed level to resolve issues and drive progress and continuous improvement of the delivery capabilities of the organization

• Ensuing that technical, risk and other standards and compliance requirements are met and project governance is comprehensively defined and embedded across all areas

• Working with senior business stakeholders and senior IT management to define and execute IT strategy 

• Managing relationship and communication with senior stakeholders across Front Office, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Risk, Internal Audit and Regulators

• Building and maintaining deep relationships with Business and IT stakeholders

• Attracting, selecting, developing, and retaining top quality business analysts and project managers

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• 5+ years of IT or Business experience, specifically running complex, multi-year programs

• Ability to lead and manage direct and indirect teams made up of different resource types including analysts, project managers, technology and business SMEs 

• Proven track record of leading and delivering large scale IT solutions

• A proactive self-starter with confidence in setting direction and strategy for a team

SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:

• Experience with MS Technologies preferably cloud based like O365

• Good understanding of SDLC and software application development

• Excellent problem solving skills, logical process thinking and end-to-end system concepts

• In-depth knowledge of the banking business
