    Areas you will gain experience and improve your skills include but are not limited to: coding in multiple programming languages, agile practices, design thinking, data management, technical knowledge of bank applications and infrastructure, and leadership.

    Please note: potential locations for this Program include the greater Providence and Boston areas.

    Within this program, you’ll also have the opportunity to participate concurrently in Early Career Development Programming (ECDP) – a robust, 4-month program designed to give our new colleagues a strong foundation of Citizens Bank. Through the ECDP, you’ll experience:

    • 2-day Orientation in downtown Boston with all bank-wide development program colleagues
    • Professional development workshops (such as Agile Methodologies and Presence & Presentation)
    • Customer and client site visits
    • Networking opportunities with senior leadership
    • Dedicated community service activities
    • Strategic Challenge where you’ll work in small teams to solve for an organizational problem and present your recommendations to a panel of executives


  • Qualifications

    What you’ll need to apply

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, IT, MIS, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or other technology-related degree
    • Expected graduation date ofMay 2020
    • Minimum GPA 3.0
    • Strong written and oral presentation skills
    • Strong analytical skills

    Exposure to at least one of the following via internship and academic experience is desirable:


    • Java, C, C++
    • Big Data Distributions: Hortonworks / Cloudera/ MAPr

    Cloud: - AWS / GCP /AZURE

    Scripting: - Shell, Javascript, XML, CSS, HTML, d3.js


    • API Management: Restful, SOAP, APIGEE
    • Message Queues – Kafka, RabbitMQ
    • Tools – Spark, Flume, Scoop, Splunk


    • NoSQL – Mongo, HBASE
    • SQL – Teradata, Sybase, Oracle
    • In-Momory - Elastic Search, SoLR, Redis

    Data Wrangling & Mining:

    • Python, R

    Big Data Technologies:

    • Pig, Hive, Spark, Splunk

    CICD & Containerization:

    • GIT / BITBUCKET / Selenium, Dockers, Kubernetes

    Algorithms: - Regression, Clustering, Gradient Boost, Neural Networks
