As a participant, you will help drive exceptional and efficient customer experiences through transformative projects and initiatives, from FinTech partnerships and digital payments to modern application environments and cloud computing.

    Based on your skills and interests, you will be placed in one of several tracks. Tracks include software development and engineering, network and systems engineering, data engineering, and testing. In addition to our assignments, comprehensive training and exposure to dynamic leaders, you will also experience an environment that fosters equality - where all colleagues and customers can feel valued, respected and heard.     NETWORK ENGINEER TRACK

    As a Network Engineer, you will contribute valuable insight and engineering expertise while working on a wide range of projects. As a member of the networking engineering team, you will be given the autonomy to exercise independent thought in a collaborative environment.

    THE NETWORK ENGINEER L WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

    • Maintaining and ensuring the widespread availability of secure connectivity solutions.
    • Identifying and documenting key network performance trends and patterns; monitoring network diagnostics.
    • Collaborating with infrastructure, cloud and software engineers to plan network and infrastructure related projects.
    • Routinely reexamining firewalls, IDS/IPS, proxy gateways and other network security components.
    • Troubleshooting network availability and accessibility issues as they arise.

    NOTE: THIS PROGRAM IS LOCATED IN RI

    PROGRAM INFORMATION

    Within this program, you'll also have the opportunity to participate concurrently in Early Career Development Programming (ECDP) - a robust, 4-month program designed to give our new colleagues a strong foundation of Citizens. Through the ECDP, you'll experience:

    • 2-day Orientation in downtown Boston with all bank-wide development program colleagues
    • Professional development workshops (such as Agile Methodologies and Presence & Presentation)
    • Customer and client site visits
    • Networking opportunities with senior leadership
    • Dedicated community service activities
    • Strategic Challenge where you'll work in small teams to solve for an organizational problem and present your recommendations to a panel of executives

    NOTE: THIS FULL-TIME PROGRAM BEGINS IN EARLY JUNE 2021

  • Qualifications

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or other technology-related degree
    • Expected graduation date of May 2021
    • Minimum GPA 3.0
    • Experience engineering, planning and developing network solutions via internships or coursework
    • Exposure to anti-virus, anti-spy and other cyber security assets
    • Exposure to one or more of the following: Office 365 configuration and admiration, Veeam backup, DNS, CHCP, Domains, WSUS, policies and permissions administration
    • Knowledge of network monitoring solutions such as Nagios/Cacti, MRTG, and Smokeping preferred
    • Knowledge of VMWare ESX and Linux technologies preferred
    • Knowledge of TCP/IP networks preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment; strong interpersonal and communication skills
