    Co-Op Program Experience

    Santander Bank’s Co-Op Program provides participants with a meaningful, relevant work experience as part of their academic studies. In addition to daily responsibilities, participants may be provided special projects and assignments, and will have the opportunity to participate in a series of structured activities designed to enhance their learning experience including:

    Program Dates

    • The Spring Co-Op Program is a 24-week, full-time program which runs from January 8 – June 22, 2018.

    Job Description

    Our co-op program provides you with the opportunity to learn about all aspects of Transaction Banking, which includes payments, liquidity, trade, and international services for commercial and business banking clients. Working directly with the head of Transaction Banking, the co-op will have direct visibility into how we serve Commercial clients, how we develop and deliver Transaction Banking products, and ultimately how we make money for our shareholders. The co-op will be involved in a variety of support roles associated with strategic growth initiatives and governance routines for the Transaction Banking Leadership team.

    Duties:

    • Support governance routines including leadership team meetings, All-Hands meetings, and individual team meetings by helping to prepare materials, keeping minutes of actions and decisions, and tracking deliverables.
    • Help prepare monthly progress reports, including financials and key drivers of the business.
    • Assist in analyzing alternative growth strategies for the business.
    • Help build out business cases and rationales for investment in the business.
    • Perform other research assignments as necessary.

    Applicant Requirements

    • Must have an expected graduation date between December 2018 – June 2019.
    • Must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above.
    • Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for the duration of the program.
    • Note: U.S. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

    • Financial planning and analysis.
    • Business strategy.
    • Marketing.
    • Communications.

    Other Desirable Attributes:

    • Interest in technology / FinTechs / Blockchain.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to make a clear argument succinctly in a variety of forums.
