As a Barclays US High Yield Credit Trader, you will be a trader on the US High Yield Credit Trading desk, a team of risk managers and desk analysts accountable for trading developed markets corporate bonds and derivatives. The role entails market making in High Yield Credit products. You’ll actively interact with multiple stakeholders in different areas including but not limited to: Markets & Credit Management, Sales and Trading desks in Credit, Macro and Equities, Research, Market Risk, QA, IT, Compliance, Middle Office, Finance and HR.

Salary / Rate Minimum: $155,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $250,000

What will you be doing?

• Accounting for the market making in High Yield Credit Products, such as developed markets corporate bonds and derivatives
• Working with and helping to mentor a team of High Yield Credit traders and Desk Analysts, with presence in the Americas
• Partnering with Sales to establish and maintain a leading client franchise across HY Credit Products in scope
• Growing the product set to expand the addressable wallet and improve the High Yield Credit offering to clients
• Engaging with BX functions to improve the required infrastructure, pricing and risk management methodology models, analytics and tools
• Working with the team, engaging with clients, and upgrading infrastructure in line with the constantly changing market structure requirements and client expectations

What we’re looking for:

• Experience being a senior leader within trading teams and of trading the High Yield product set, with proven track record of trading in different market conditions
• Solid and longstanding relationships with top clients active in the High Yield Credit space, including but not limited to Institutional Asset Managers and Hedge Funds
• Experience working with partners across infrastructure to enhance the platform and embrace electronification and other changes in market structure
• Solid grasp of the risk, financial resources, human capital, infrastructure and technology associated with a High Yield Credit business in order to execute trades
