Wholesale Lending - Operations Strategy and Governance

As a Barclays Wholesale Lending-Operations Strategy and Governance, you will drive the Wholesale Lending Operations strategy in a number of areas (e.g., operating model reviews, location strategy, ways of working, communications and engagement plan, etc.). This is an exciting opportunity to lead strategic reviews across several areas identified by the Head of Lending Operations. You will also partner closely with other functions on a range of Senior Manager, regulatory and governance matters and on priority projects.

What will you be doing?

• Prioritizing ad hoc high priority projects on behalf of the Head of Lending Operations and regular governance as business priorities/ opportunities emerge
• Working closely with the Lending Operations Management Team on a variety of key priority issues to drive optimum enterprise outcomes and synergies across the estate
• Maintaining connectivity across the Senior Levels in the organisation to unearth emerging issues and help bring impetus and connectivity to the various teams, disciplines and skill sets
• Helping on trouble shooting problem solving for burning issues within the team and work on how to solve them
• Liaising with senior management across the broader bank as required to deliver Lending Operations objectives and establishing relationships at the senior levels
• Leading initiatives that will support productivity, collaboration and colleague wellbeing
• Considering operating model reviews across Lending Operations working in partnership with Global Markets & Lending Strategy & Transformation, HR and other key stakeholders

What we’re looking for:

• More than five years’ experience in Management Consulting from a top firm or Corporate Strategy at a Bank
• Advanced ability to use PowerPoint and MS Excel
• Excellent communication skills in written and verbal form
• Business related degree
