In hematology, the Company and its global collaboration partner, Celgene, are developing luspatercept for the treatment of chronic anemia in myelodysplastic syndromes, beta-thalassemia, and myelofibrosis. Acceleron is also advancing its neuromuscular franchise with two distinct Myostatin+ agents, ACE-083 and ACE-2494, and a pulmonary program with sotatercept in pulmonary arterial hypertension. Whats in it for you? We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual with expertise in molecular and cell biology to join our Molecular and Cell Biology group. In this role, you will be responsible for pcr cloning and expression of discovery molecules as well as testing the functional activity of these molecules in biochemical/cellular assay formats that include ELISAs, reporter gene assays, and flow cytometry. You will also evaluate, interpret and communicate the results associated with activities and project goals. This position will provide the opportunity to make visible contributions to a variety of projects while interacting with a knowledgeable and dedicated multidisciplinary team that does not forget to have fun along the way! What are we looking for? * The ideal candidate will have a BS or MS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related discipline and 3-5 years of experience * Proven hands-on laboratory skills in molecular biology techniques such as plasmid construction (i.e. restriction enzyme digests, ligations, maxipreps) and primer design, mutagenesis, genomic DNA isolation, RT-pcr * Well-versed in aseptic tissue culture techniques * Deep knowledge of cell biology and cell culture of mammalian cells * Working knowledge of ELISA, SDS-PAGE and western blotting * Familiarity with Vector NTI is desirable * Highly analytical mind, attention to details, and organizational skills are critical * Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential How will you grow with us?
