Lighthouse Lab Services is working with a clinical reference laboratory in Carrollton, TX that is seeking a dedicated Specimen Processor to join their 2nd shift team. This lab plays a key role in delivering timely and accurate diagnostic testing, and they're looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, dependable, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, unpack, and log incoming biological specimens

• Accurately verify specimen information against test requisitions

• Prepare specimens by uncapping, aliquoting, labeling, and sorting by type and priority

• Enter data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)

• Route specimens to appropriate departments for testing

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the specimen processing area

• Follow all laboratory safety and compliance protocols

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Previous specimen processing or clinical laboratory experience preferred but not required

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting

• Comfortable working with biological specimens

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Basic computer and data entry skills

• Must be able to reliably work the 2nd shift schedule
