RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, VIRAL VECTOR DEVELOPMENT Adicet Bio is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong viral vector biology background to work on the development and clinical implementation of innovative immune cell therapies. The successful candidate will contribute to the advancement of Adicets proprietary immunotherapeutic cell engineering platform focused on genetic modification and expansion of human immune cells. You will be responsible for viral vector production and purification for pre-clinical evaluation and process scale-up activities, and lead efforts in the areas of management of source materials, reagents, cell banks, vector development lots, and the production and analysis of viral products. You will also be expected to independently perform experiments, organize and analyze results. ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Follow standard operating procedures * Write, review and edit accurate technical documents * Work with a cross-functional team to advance development of immunotherapy products * Successfully execute and document laboratory procedures and experiments with great attention to detail * Other duties as assigned RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, VIRAL VECTOR DEVELOPMENT -- QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor or Masters degree in Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology or related life science field is required * A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, industry experience is strongly preferred * Must have expertise in mammalian tissue culture including both adherent and suspension cell lines * Hands-on experience in the HEK293 expression technology using transient or stable platforms * Experience with retroviral/lentiviral production system is a plus * Proficiency with flow cytometry, cell-based bioassays and ELISA or PCR techniques is a plus. * Techniques in molecular biology, such as RT-PCR is a plus * Expertise in downstream viral process including ultracentrifugation, TFF, formulation, and finish/fill is preferred * Strong organizational and record keeping skills. * Qualified candidates should be detail oriented and have appropriate time management skills * Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment * Ability to think critically and demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Must be a team player, proactive, co-operative, and willing to work in a small team environment * Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills * Must be proficient with MS Office and other commonly used software and technology programs BENEFITS: Adicet Bio offers both comprehensive benefits and Paid Time (PTO) plans for employees, which begin on the first day of employment, as well as the opportunity to work in a growing, dynamic environment.
