    SUMMARY OF INTERNSHIP

    The Analytical Chemist Internship position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on working experience with a cross-functional team of chemists and engineers, as well as a planning/procurement and manufacturing team. The Analytical Chemist intern will be responsible for supporting daily operations of all manufactured chemicals and water analysis instruments. This position will combine laboratory chemistry with engineering to support operations and will facilitate gaining valuable experience and transferrable skills through working in a customer-focused production environment.

    PROSPECTIVE PROJECTS

    • Validate titration methods for new STAR T940 titrators in Quality Control Laboratory and update associated SOPs/documentation
    • Conduct feasibility analysis for implementing fully electronic Solutions Manufacturing Quality Control Process

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Provide trending analysis on production performance metrics
    • Investigate customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis
    • Review, update, and implement manufacturing processes and SOPs
    • Participate in Internal Quality Audits to ISO 9001:2015 Standards
    • Collaborate with QC Chemists to troubleshoot variances from specifications and identify areas of improvement
  • Qualifications
    • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or Chemical/Biomedical Engineering
    • Hands-on experience in a laboratoy environment preferred
    • Experience using MS Excel for calculations preferred
