    We are looking for a Animal Care Technician I (Rodent Facility) to join our Insourcing Solutions team located in South San Francisco, CA.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO!

    In this role you will p erform animal care, husbandry and cagewash duties including sanitizing caging and equipment. Perform animal husbandry duties including daily water bottle /automatic water line and cage checks; provide appropriate food and water; perform cage changing and/or cage cleaning as required. Maintain accurate records of animal health and report any health concerns to the veterinary personnel. You will also receive, inspect, and house incoming animals; assist with the receipt, stocking, and maintenance of supply inventories; assist with all housekeeping duties and cleaning the animal facility and surrounding areas.Provide basic trouble shooting on the equipment and report any problems to the supervisor.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    A candidate that possesses a High School diploma/GED or equivalent (a B.S. in either animal science or life sciences preferred) and a minimum of 1 year directly related laboratory animal experience in an AAALAC accredited facility. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. AALAS Certification at the ALAT level preferred.
