POSITION SUMMARY The Graphic Designer is responsible for successfully delivering creative projects?both print and electronic media?to AH client-partners, and AH, the company itself, and is part of Creative Team and the Marketing and Communications (MarCom) Team. The designer can take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, layouts, and other designs. The Graphic Designer is responsible for brainstorming, conceptualizing, and delivering projects to client-partners and AH, the company itself; handling multiple projects at the same time, and advising client-partners on recommendations pertaining to the project. The Graphic Designer reports to the Art Director. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work with existing graphics/branding elements to create banners and imagery for web, print advertisements, signage, and various other projects Execute layout of multiple quarterly publications Brainstorm and collaborate with marketing experts, other designers, and web designers Work across all social channels to align visual consistency and drive innovation Creative project discovery, development, and delivery for client-partners and AH, the company itself Contribute to research and development efforts for new products and services for AHs menu based on AH client and employee feedback Share layout, typography, design trends and other relevant experiences with Creative team members Provide accurate time estimates for projects Be a role model for the company culture SPECIFIC SKILLS Extensive experience with InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop Strong understanding of branding, typography, use of color and white space Well-rounded design experience for all key digital outlets - including web and print, ideally with social media context Capable project organizer with excellent time management Able to place their designs in the "big picture" context of what is needed to drive an outcome at our AH clients regardless of the medium needed. Adaptable, reflecting the rapidly changing client and marketing environment, willing and able to learn new skills. Team oriented and able to freely interact as needed with the rest of the marketing team to fluidly deliver excellent outcomes using creative for our clients. Able to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients Skills related to video/motion graphics a plus QUALIFICATIONS At least 23 years professional experience (ideally within a marketing or creative agency) with a design-related degree MEASUREMENT OF SUCCESS # of renewed client projects % of project growth from existing AH clients (i.e. 2017 # of projects vs 2018 # of projects within Creative Dept.)
