    Job Description

    Atlas Research is seeking a Customer Experience (CX) Lead to drive the creation of customer-centered solutions for a variety of communication and behavior change challenges. In this position, you will lead capability development while overseeing teams of Human Centered Design (HCD) practitioners to understand and synthesize customer needs, strategize improved service delivery, and create innovative solutions.  In addition, you will leverage innovative and dynamic approaches to transform working with customers and partners, uncovering and understanding user needs and insights, identifying new opportunities, and facilitating workshops on the path to co-designing innovative tools and processes that create meaningful impact to client engagements. ATTRIBUTES OF THIS ROLE INVOLVE ENCOMPASSING KNOWLEDGE OF THE FOLLOWING:

    • User-Centered Design:  experience in qualitative, participatory research, persona development, customer journey mapping, and or visualizing other user-experience flows.
    • Facilitation: experience in leading workshops with participants at different learning, and ability levels
    • Creative Design: leverage strong design principles and their application to human behavior; application of design tools toward strategic concept development
    • People Skills: communicate effectively and professionally with staff and clients; strong interpersonal skills with an awareness to cultural differences; collaborative and optimistic; adept at presenting and selling ideas to clients and stakeholders.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's or Masters in computer interaction (HCI), human factors, cognitive psychology, or an equivalent field.
    • Extensive experience advancing HCD and CX best practices to design complete user experiences that both meet customer business needs and align with product vision.
    • Expertise in the science of user research including usability testing and the art of CX design, proficient in conducting user research as needed, leading design workshops, and participating in user requirements gathering.
    • Talent for soliciting feedback and iterate on product designs and solutions.
    • Ability to be flexible and collaborative while partnering with development teams in an agile setting.
    • Knowledge of current industry trends and technologies in HCD and CX.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 10+ years of UX and HCD experience, including in a leadership role on an HCD/UX team.
    • 7+ years of experience associated with design firms or consultancy
    • A consistent track record of launching simple, effective, and usable products in a highly collaborative work environment, drive by rigorous user research and usability testing.
    • Expert experience with UX research and design experience for complex software applications.
    • Expert in quantitative & qualitative user research methods and tools – discovery, exploratory, validation.
    • Proficient in agile software application product development practices.
    • Knowledge of contemporary web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Responsive Frameworks, Web Accessibility.
