The Automation/DevOps Engineer Internship position provides an opportunity to students who are currently pursuing a computer or information science degree to get hands on experience working with engineers in a fast-paced IT environment. The intern will contribute to automation and DevOps projects within the Storage and Data Protection team. THE POSITION STARTS IN JUNE, PAID WORKING 40 HOURS PER WEEK THROUGH AUGUST. Opportunity exists for this position to continue through the academic year on a part-time basis to allow for class schedules.

Essential Functions:

• Contribute to projects within the Storage and Data Protection team
• Developing automation pipelines using various tools and languages
• Leveraging APIs to integrate with management and monitoring tools
• Collaborating with the various team's engineers on large scale, business imperative projects and initiatives to optimize the storage and data protection environment.
• Specific tasks will be tailored to the interns experience level and abilities

• Engineering Degree
• Previous Internship Experience
• Experience with Python

• Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
• Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve
• Desire to contribute and improve design of new and existing scientific instrumentation products

• Desire to teach other engineers about technology in area of expertise
• Familiarity with of least one python, powershell, shell scripting
