JOB SUMMARY: The Help Desk Analysts are the first point of contact for County employees seeking technical assistance. They are to provide technical support over the phone for computer hardware, software and network operating problems in order to maintain the smooth operation of day to day business.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Resolve hardware, phone, application, and network incidents and service requests
• Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when they relate to personal computers.
• Provides one-on-one end-user problem resolution over the phone working directly with end-user and/or remotely repairing the PC desktop via remote control screen sharing software.
• Use Active Directory to Unlock/Reset network accounts and check printer queues.
• Apply understanding and knowledge of information systems products and services to assist users.
• Receives and prioritizes issues and forwards using appropriate escalation procedures.
• Write concise, informative tickets to capture problem and resolution information.
• Document resolutions in knowledge base for future reference.
• All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with MS including Windows 10, Outlook, and Office 365.
• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle calls with professionalism, sensitivity, and diplomacy under pressure
• Must be independent, motivated worker, an innovative self-starter.
• Must be team player and be able deal with clients one-on-one via verbal and written communication
• Candidate must be able to pass Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office background check.
• Candidate must pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check, and authorization to work in the United States.
