We are currently seeking a Cyber Simulation Engineer to support our Cyber Trust and Assurance business. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with the Battelle Cyber Trust and Assurance team developing state of the art integrated circuit security solutions ranging from design, verification, and testing of electronic devices, integrated circuits, and embedded systems. Identify and articulate strengths and weaknesses of solutions, conclusions and problem approaches during technical discussions. Works with internal stakeholders to support preparation of presentations and reports. May be called on to provide input, perform demonstrations or present on assigned tasks during customer meetings. Contribute to Internal Research and Development (IRAD) studies and may lead small IRAD tasks. Prioritizes and completes structured assignments with mentoring from senior staff. May seek guidance in identifying subsequent tasking. THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Materials Science, or related field of study, or equivalent experience 4+ years experience in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Materials Science, or related field technical area Firm understanding and experience in computational physics, numerical simulation, and/or model-based engineering. Solid understanding and experience with industry standard model-based engineering and/or TCAD tools such as Silvaco, COMSOL Multiphysics, CST microwave studio, Altair FEKO, and/or ANSYS HFSS. Must be a sole US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance. THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Materials Science, or related field with 0 - 6 years of experience, PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field of study with 0-2 years of experience Project experience in computational electromagnetics and optical simulation, including FDTD algorithms, method of moments, beam propagation method, and/or thermal simulation. Experience linking simulations(better language needed) to empirical data and interacting with experimentalists. Strong CAD modeling skills, including experience developing complex integrated assemblies for meshing with tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD Inventor Experience with meshers such as NX, Abaqus, Experience with high performance computing, including GPU and multi-threaded execution Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, C/C++, Fortran, or C# Active Secret or Top-Secret Clearance Legal Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
