TEAM DESCRIPTION: Oversees and manages the pre-production and production process; from style adoption to final delivery. Works closely with key internal & external partners to identify, develop & leverage the best at capabilities of our supply base for optimal quality, value & on time delivery in a sustainable and socially responsible manner.
POSITION SUMMARY:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Owns designated product pre-production and production activities specific to a category.
Collaborates with internal and external partners throughout the PLC process.
Adopts a continuous improvement mindset & a proactive approach to problem solving.
Owns the vendor relationship. Considered the face of EF with supplier community.
Works in partnership with Social Consciousness to achieve Supply Chain’s strategic objectives.
Support and implement social and environmental Riverbanks goals.
Supports order placement process.
Supports total quality management system approach with vendors in collaboration with Quality Operations team.
Identifies risk and partners with manager to resolve issues that arise during production & facilitates timely resolution.
Updates seasonal time and action calendar for vendors.
Source trims based on request from Design and facilitates ordering process with vendors.
Supports costing process.
Transacts Specials process from sales order through purchase order execution.
Places commitments with vendors and negotiates delivery dates.
Tracks production capacity with key vendors.
Provide production updates to teams, production minimum issues and late deliveries.
Creates and tracks seasonal WIP production deadlines to ensure on-time delivery.
Process bulk production packing lists, create shipments, and submit invoices to Accounting.
Processes drop shipments across categories to global accounts.
Manages commit process, creates and maintains purchase orders through Blue Cherry system.
Maintains PLM database from line adoption to final delivery.
PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AND ASSIGNMENTS AS REQUIRED.
Required Skills
College degree preferred, ideally in Production or Textiles.
Excel required and PLM, BlueCherry preferred.
Additional and/or Optional: An interest in learning all phases of knits production.
Required Experience
Minimum of 1 year Production experience, 2-4 years preferred.
