Solar PV Laboratory Internship CFV Solar Test Laboratory - Albuquerque, NM 87106 Part-time, Internship About CFV Solar Test Laboratories, Inc.: CFV Solar Test Laboratory (CFV) is a solar photovoltaic (PV) test center jointly owned by CSA Group of Canada, Fraunhofer ISE of Germany and Fraunhofer CSE of Cambridge, MA. CFV performs performance, reliability and certification testing of PV modules according to North American (UL) and international (IEC) standards for flat panel, thin film and CPV modules. The laboratory is in Albuquerque, NM, and is a state-of-the-art test facility. About the Position: We are seeking a part-time Intern to help us with electrical safety, performance and environmental exposure tests on solar PV modules and related equipment. As an Intern you will be responsible for assisting with various tests to evaluate the reliability and safety of PV-modules from different manufacturers. You will work with test engineers and technicians to help set-up and maintain the test equipment and run the tests. CFV is looking for team players with a can-do attitude. Principal Responsibilities: * Transport, load and unload modules into test equipment and field test devices * Help run and monitor tests * Record data in databases and spreadsheets, analyze data, and generate test reports * General assistance in the lab Required Experience and Education: * Candidates should be enrolled as university students in an engineering or scientific field. Additional Qualifications: * Experience with lab equipment or maintenance a plus. * Computer skills a plus. * Desire to learn about solar technology.
