  • Responsibilities

    Lighthouse Lab Services is partnering with a reference laboratory in Denver, CO, to recruit an experienced Laboratory Manager.

    The Laboratory Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of a high-complexity molecular diagnostics laboratory focused on oncology testing. This role ensures efficient workflow, regulatory compliance, quality performance, and timely result reporting while leading laboratory staff and supporting operational strategy.

    Key Responsibilities

    Daily Laboratory Operations

    • Manage daily molecular laboratory workflow to ensure timely report release and TAT compliance

    • Troubleshoot technical and operational issues

    • Oversee instrument maintenance, calibration, and performance verification

    • Lead root cause investigations and implement CAPA actions

    • Maintain accurate operational and quality documentation

    Team Leadership & Management

    • Supervise, mentor, and support laboratory personnel

    • Communicate operational expectations and performance goals

    • Coordinate with laboratory leadership regarding quality metrics and strategy

    Quality & Regulatory Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with CLIA and other applicable regulatory requirements

    • Oversee quality control programs and proficiency testing

    • Monitor quality indicators and support internal and external audits

    Equipment & Inventory Management

    • Maintain inventory levels to support uninterrupted workflow

    • Manage instrument service, maintenance, and calibration records

    Preferred Profile:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related field

    • Minimum of 3 years of laboratory leadership or operations experience

    • Experience in high-complexity molecular diagnostics preferred

    • Proficiency in nucleic acid extraction, PCR/RT-PCR/ddPCR workflows

    • Familiarity with NGS workflows and assay validation

    • Strong understanding of CLIA regulatory standards

    Salary and Benefits:
