HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

The internship will allow you the opportunity to work in the QC Microbiology alongside the team performing environmental monitoring and critical utility testing throughout the facility.

Observes microbiology assays such as bioburden, endotoxin, aseptic aliquoting and growth promotion. The incumbent will support equipment preventative maintenance, documentation, and business improvement initiatives within QC Microbiology. Works cohesively with peers and QC Microbiology management.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Observe routine environmental monitoring and critical utility sampling
• Observe routine microbiology assays (bioburden, endotoxin, growth promotion)
• Perform inventory and stocking of QC lab
• Coordinate sample shipment to external labs
• Perform routine laboratory preventative maintenance and cleaning
• Archive assays and technical documents
• Participate in business improvement initiatives to streamline laboratory processes

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to gown and gain access to cleanroom and utility areas
• Position requires frequent bending, stooping, standing, and ability to lift 40 lbs
• Ability to work around strong chemical odors such as Spor-Klenz or bleach

HOW WILL YOU GET HERE?

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED
• Enrollment in a program for a Bachelors Degree in a Life Science
