Key Responsibilities:

• Assists with design and implementation of creating secure systems and monitoring systems for security threats. Research of vulnerability assessments, conducts investigations and performs intrusion detection monitoring.
• Cybersecurity research - conducts research and training to maintain and develop staff readiness and user awareness with respect to cyber-attach trends and methods.
• Assists with the evaluation of network architectures, storage architectures, hosted web applications hardware/software configurations, and new technologies for security vulnerabilities and impacts.
• Assisting the Cybersecurity team with ongoing monitoring of operations and responding to security incidents as they occur. Assist in troubleshooting efforts.
• Triaging and escalating security related service desk tickets.
• Assists with creation of IT security policies and provides security documentation for awareness purposes.
• Development and testing of security procedures and playbooks.

Basic Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science or related discipline as a Sophomore/Junior.
• Linux and Windows Operating System experience.
• Candidates should have an understanding of network and application-based attack trends and defense methods.
• Operating System hardening, computer incident response, vulnerability assessment and security patch management.
• Experience with security tools such as network sniffers, vulnerability assessment tools and log file analysis is considered a plus.

• Demonstration of analytical and logical mindset.
