KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Candidate will be a computer science/information technology student performing research and development activities for projects associated with software development.
• Candidate will work in an Agile development environment testing a large commercial software system on Linux Red Hat8.  Responsibilities include running tests, documenting test issues and results, helping to automate testing, and possibly writing new system and performance tests.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:   

• The selected candidate must be pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited university studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering curriculum or a related discipline and have completed their sophomore year of the program.
• Must have completed a core programming language course in a structured language such as C, C++, or Java
• Must be knowledgeable of the Linux or Unix-based operating system
• Excellent organizational, communication and planning skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a diverse team
• Ability to work closely with project teams and potentially external clients to identify requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completed language, OS, and software engineering core classes
• Demonstrable skills in Python or Bash
