    INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY ENGINEER

    Concurrent Technologies Corporation

    Annapolis Junction, MD

     

    MINIMUM CLEARANCE REQUIRED: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph

     

    CLEARANCE LEVEL MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support Incident Response (IR) activities systems and network upgrades to include technical refresh of systems, or the technical insertion of hardware/software upgrades and components.
    • Installing and configuring Windows and Linux systems.
    • Troubleshooting system software, hardware, and network issues from routers to password resets and telecommunications cabling to software patches and IAVA alerts
    • Restoring connectivity, moving equipment (servers, PCs, network components, lab equipment), and experience with Cisco telecommunications products, among other roles.
    • Configuring networking devices (Cisco) including: establishing networking schemes, managing VLANs, and routing.
    • Hardening Windows and Linux systems.
    • Setting up and tearing down physical equipment in racks.

     

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor of Science (BS) from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related field is required. Four (4) years of ISSE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree. DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Systems Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level 1 is required.
    • Minimum of four (4) years of experience with installation, maintenance, administration, and troubleshooting of LAN, computer hardware and software.
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in cybersecurity related tasks including incident handling, incident response, or digital forensics.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD 8570.01-M IAT level I or II certification (i.e. A+, Network+, SSCP, Security+, etc.)

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Previous experience in incident handling activities within mission-critical environments.
    • Experience managing, containing and responding to incidents affecting critical systems including executing or recommending containment steps.
    • Experience analyzing the impact of incidents and their potential threat to information assets
    • Virtualization experience with tools such as VMWare Workstation, RHEL Kernel Virtualization Modules (KVM) or ESXi
    • Experience with scripting (e.g. Perl, bash, etc.)
