SUMMARY OF INTERNSHIP

The Continuous Improvement Internship position provides an opportunity for students who are currently pursuing a science or engineering degree to get hands on experience working within operations to aid in our training programs for problem solving and lean manufacturing. Interns will get to learn in depth manufacturing processes as they develop case studies to aid in training. THE POSITION STARTS IN MAY OR JUNE, PAID WORKING 40 HOURS PER WEEK THROUGH AUGUST.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Gemba in different manufacturing lab onsite to learn their process and flow
• Create case studies to be used for problem solving training based on real processes and data
• Learn lean manufacturing concepts from onsite resources and independent study
• Create lean trainings and simulations (Both for in person and virtually training) to aid in site-wide training programs
• Complete 1 improvement project utilizing lean principles
• Have Fun!

• Pursing a Science Undergraduate degree
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.

• Self-drive and willingness to learn
• Familiarity with virtual training media (Powerpoint, menti, etc,)
• Passion for continuous improvement
