This is an exciting time to join Corbus Pharmaceuticals, a clinical stage biotechnology pharmaceutical company with a vision to be the leader in treating inflammatory and fibrotic diseases by targeting the endocannabinoid system (ECS). Corbus’ lead asset, lenabasum, is a novel late-stage development candidate being studied for the treatment of several rare diseases.
As a key member of the Medical Affairs Leadership Team, Head U.S. MSLs will be the first member of our field-based medical team. In preparation for potential product launches and ongoing ECS pipeline development, he/she will have the exciting opportunity to hire, mentor, and lead the company’s first high performance field based medical team in the US. The Head U.S. MSLs is expected to represent US Medical Affairs internally and externally as part of the U.S. launch excellence team.
Reporting to the VP, Head Medical Affairs, this role will lead the planning, development, and execution of the US medical field launch plan for the potential first 2 indications for lenabasum, in Systemic Sclerosis (‘SSc’) and Cystic Fibrosis (CF).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define, hire, and develop the US MSL infrastructure and organization, including the creation of policies, standards and processes
- Develop and execute strategical and tactical medical field activities aligned to critical success factors of the U.S. Medical Affairs plan
- Oversee the development of MSL initial onboarding and ongoing training program, materials and other resources
- Design, track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) for the MSL team using tools such as the CRM system and provide periodic MSL activity and insight evaluation reports to senior medical leadership
- Provide input into the creation of KOL lists (from regional mapping and tiering exercises) and MSL field sizing and territory coverage maps
- Provide scientific team guidance and actively provide input in Medical Affairs activities such as: scientific congress/conference strategy and planning, medical regional ad boards, medical info activities, publications, HEOR/payer needs; and when appropriate for background context, participate ad hoc in medical education grant and IIR (investigator-initiated research) reviews
- Collaborate and share field insights with other key internal functions (clinical, clinical operations, and regulatory/compliance)
- Work with commercial team counterparts in a compliant manner to ensure appropriate triaging and professional information fulfillment of unsolicited scientific requests from HCPs
- In conjunction with clinical operation teams, provide medical support and insights to clinical trial activities, such as site recommendation and selection and HCP patient enrollment referrals
- Support medical affairs evidence generation efforts, such as post-marketing Phase 4 and registry studies
