Job Description
SUMMARY
Corbus Pharmaceuticals is seeking an experienced, independent and self-motivated logistics lead who would be responsible for managing product and component transfers between manufacturing sites, depots, study sites and testing laboratories. S/he will build a centralized process for managing shipment requests, scheduling and tracking shipments through delivery at the destination, evaluate vendors (including carriers) and track expenses. S/he will actively participate in 3PL evaluation, selection and implementation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate all product and component shipments including, but not limited to API, bulk or bottled drug product, samples, between contract manufacturing operations sites, storage locations, test labs et cetera.
Create a standard set of processes to including capture shipment requests, Identify permits, licenses and documentation typically required for each shipment type, Gather relevant documentation, Track product in transit, Ensure delivery, Ensure payment to vendors
Evaluate currently used carriers, customs brokers and other vendors, and compare services and cost with other potential partners.
For logistics related services provided by CMOs (contract manufacturing operations) - monitor and manage freight related expenses currently incurred by CMOs on behalf of Corbus, and help streamline invoice verification process.
Assist in the 3PL (Third Party Logistics) service provider selection and implementation process.
