    Job Description

    This is an exciting time to join Corbus Pharmaceuticals, a clinical stage biotechnology pharmaceutical company with a vision to be the leader in treating inflammatory and fibrotic diseases by targeting the endocannabinoid system.

    The Head, Market Access will lead the company’s efforts at securing optimal patient access and reimbursement for the company’s products with near term focus on Corbus’s late-stage development candidate for the treatment of several rare inflammatory diseases. The Head, Market Access will lead the efforts to develop a compelling product value proposition supported by robust clinical and economic evidence with global geographic responsibility. This role will craft the market access and distribution strategy and recruit a talented team to deliver on that strategy. This position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and will work closely with Medical Affairs and the commercial and finance teams.  The role will be responsible to help achieve brand financial objectives via innovative strategies and tactics including excellence in account planning, customer engagement, developing and executing strategic and tactical operating plans, reimbursement, distribution strategies and plans.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Recruit and lead a high performing market access team to ensure launch readiness ahead of upcoming launches
    • Develop, lead and execute access, reimbursement and distribution strategy for our lead asset
    • Partner with Health Economics and Outcomes colleagues to develop analyses in preparation of a Global Value Dossier
    • Initiate and lead interactions with both US Payers and European health agencies in preparation for reimbursement and access
    • Provide commercial input regarding patient access considerations for pipeline product candidates
    • Design and drive the Market Access strategic plan and provide inspirational leadership for the Market Access function to help achieve brand launch goals and company business objectives
    • Continuously analyze the market in terms of potential coverage and reimbursement issues, existing and emerging payer policies, competitive landscape, trends, pricing, contracting strategies, and potential barriers to provider and patient access
    • Leads managed care marketing and contracting strategy for payer and distribution channels: Commercial Insurers, Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), Integrated Health Networks (IHN), Specialty Pharmacy and Distribution, State Medicaid, Medicare, and Federal VA/DoD channels.
    • Partner with Medical Affairs to ensure appropriate focus is applied to economic outcomes in clinical and LCM studies and to develop pharmacoeconomic methodology, study design, protocol development, data collection, and development of study tools and instruments.
    • Work with Manufacturing on Product Security efforts to maintain and protect the integrity of our product distribution and supply
    • Lead pricing governance to ensure alignment with all key stakeholders as it relates to establishing price, adjusting price, best price and other related elements.

    SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

    • BS/BA degree; master’s degree or higher preferred
    • 12+ years in the biopharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years specifically in market access
    • Proven track record in pricing, reimbursement and market access
    • Expertise in payer systems, pricing and reimbursement across major global markets
    • Experience leading and managing a team of pricing and market access professionals (including regional or national account management leadership) and working closely with senior company leaders
    • Launch experience in US and global markets; Rare disease therapeutic experience a plus
    • Strong knowledge of the reimbursement environment for pharmaceutical products; deep understanding and compliance with the OIG and FDA regulations governing pharmaceutical marketing and the PhRMA code
    • Hub, field reimbursement and government pricing experience
    • Travel up to 50% Domestic and International
    • Exceptionally strong team-oriented leader with excellent communication skills and collaborative work style
