Cordant strives to change the way its clients use toxicology results and assists its clients in navigating the ever-changing industries in which they operate. Laboratories and/or pharmacies are located in Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Massachusetts, New York, and Washington. We are looking for an enthusiastic Third Party Collections Representative to join our Billing and Reimbursement team in Denver, CO. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and investigating missing and incomplete information that has resulted in errors and denials in the billing process, and then resolving those billing errors and denials. This role will need to use innovative approaches to collecting updated information while still providing a high level of customer service. Essential Functions: Research missing and incomplete information resulting in billing errors and denials Manage the resolution process for all billing errors and denials Perform updates to billing codes (advice remark codes and adjustment reason codes) Generate written correspondences and responses to clients Create and submit appeals for denied claims Process claim rejections, changes to patient demographics Provide support for the department and assist with special projects, as assigned Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED Medical Billing Certification or Degree with an accredited school, preferred 2+ years of experience in Medical Billing (Laboratory billing, a plus) Experience with inbound and outbound calls, required Strong experience reading and interpreting EOBs, required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated and organized professional Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment High level of integrity and ethics Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid, as well as other third-party payers Intermediate Excel experience (filter, sort, pivot tables, basic formulas, etc.) About Cordant Health Solutions: Working at Cordant Health Solutions means constantly being challenged to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic, vibrant environment.
