Summary of Internship

The Data Engineering Internship position provides an opportunity for engineering students who are currently pursuing a computer science, computer engineering, or like engineering degree to get hands on experience working alongside business leaders, analysts, and data scientists to deliver data that drives decisions. This position is placed in our Life Science Division based in Carlsbad, CA and the customer base is the finance data science team – where we translate financial data into actionable business outcomes. Essential Functions

• Build data pipelines and transform data sets in financial analyst and data science customers
• Enhance existing databases, cloud platforms, visualization systems for more effective business decision making
• Work on automation and productivity initiatives that will expose you to robotic automation tools and approaches
• Collect feedback and specifications from customers, iterating through agile development sprints
• Present results to customers through presentations, data flow diagrams, email and meeting structures
• Intern works under close supervision of data scientists and engineering team

• Student currently enrolled in accredited degree in a software or computer related engineering discipline
• To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status
